Jim Scott was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1961. He received his B.A. in 1958 from the University of the South. He attended law school at the University of London and received his J.D. in 1960 from The University of Alabama and his LL.M in taxation from New York University in 1962. Jim was a member of Phi Delta Theta and Omicron Delta Kappa. Jim was Editor of the Alabama Law Review and the Editor-in-Chief of The University of Alabama Literary and Humor Magazine.
