Jack L.Capell was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 1935; he received his B.S. in 1931 from Alabama Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University, and his LL.B. in 1934 from Jones Law Institute. At Auburn Mr. Capell was president of Delta Sigma Pi (professional business fraternity) and also of Sigma Pi (social fraternity), a member of the Auburn University Interfraternity Council, and a member in the honor society of Phi Kappa Phi. Upon graduation, he received an award for the highest scholastic ranking in Commerce and Business Administration.
